Yes. The rules. We all hate 'em, but they're an essential part of every RPG. They make life a little easier, especially if you follow them. So, please make sure that you follow these rules; it makes my life and your life easier.
Out of Character Rules:• Swearing is fine everywhere except in the following boards: announcements, questions && suggestions, and advertising. • Harassment isn't allowed here. If someone asks you to leave them alone, then do it. If someone is bothering you, contact a staff member. •No racist, sexist, or discriminatory remarks. •No chatspeak anywhere but the Cbox. •Respect each other and respect the staff. •No fighting in the Cbox or in OOC - keep this to PMs if you really do feel the need to argue with each other. •No inappropriate pictures or links to inappropriate pictures or websites. •Signature pictures can be no larger than 500X250 pixels. •If you are planning on being inactive for a time, post in the absence board. •No plagiarism. Period. •One account per person. •Display names such as iluvponies2065 and anything annoying like that are frowned upon. Do not use them. •OOC conversations need to stay in OOC boards. General In Character Rules:•Swearing is allowed in IC. •No power-playing, no god-moding, or meta-gaming. •No mary-sue characters. •You may have as many characters as you want, so long as you keep them active. •No homosexual characters. •Your character must be accepted before you can roleplay it. •Don't roleplay with yourself. •In character posts must be at least 250 words long. •Roleplaying may be done in the first or third person, but only one can be used per post. •No in-character double posting. •Post in turns. •Mark a thread as private if you intend it to be for a particular player or character. •No force-claiming. Territories:•Stallions have a one week long immunity after claiming or winning a territory. •Claiming posts must be at least 600 words long. •Only stallions may rule over a territory. •Stallions who own territories are not the only stallions that can claim mares. •Only stallions may fight over territories. Stallions:•May claim territories. •May fight for territories. •May claim mares. •May force-claim mares •May fight for mares. •May claim foals that have no mother or foals that no longer need their mother to survive. •May fight for foals. •May claim only one land. •May breed with any of their mares, and with as many as they like. •May kill their own foals, but only with permission from the player or the player of the mother. Mares:•Can not claim or fight for territories. •May be claimed by stallions. •May claim foals without mothers. •May be force-claimed by a stallion, with the consent of the player.•May be force-bred. •May challenge other mares for positions in the herd. •May kill or abandon their foals. Foals:•They really can't do anything until they are two years old, which is when they are considered adults and are able to breed. At this time colts are usually kicked out of the herd. Breeding && Birthing:•No graphic/long breeding allowed. •No graphic/long birthing •Only breeding in the area provided [Ghost Forest]. •No graphic foaling. •The breeding seasons are spring and summer. The foaling seasons are then autumn and winter. •Staff control what the foal will look like, what gender it is, and whether or not there will be problems during or after birth. •Foaling is only allowed in the provided area [Shallow Valley]. •Forms for foals must be filled out before the foal is born. Fighting:•Fights can include any number of horses. •Only stallions may fight for territories. •Mares can fight mares, stallions can fight stallions, or a mare may fight a stallion [though not for a territory]. •Mares are naturally weaker than stallions. Keep that in mind. •Fights are judged on strategies, wounds inflicted, and roleplayer skill. •The challenger and the defender must, together, decided how many attacks and dodges there will be. When they decided they must tell the judge. •If either player does not reply after one week then that player loses, unless they have an excuse for not replying [like posting in the away board]. •Horses are allowed to fight to the death. •You may not injure or kill a character without the player's permission.
